The park is home to many endangered species and animals that can only be found in Costa Rica. This adventure, starting from Sierpe, is one of the few trips where you can spot all four species of monkeys in a single day, as well as other unique wildlife like pumas, tapirs, peccaries, birds, snakes, and an incredible variety of trees, all telling the story of this natural paradise.
We offer 2 options to experience this incredible park:
The trip starts with a 35-minute boat ride through the mangrove channels to the mouth of the Sierpe River, followed by another 45-minute boat ride along the Pacific Ocean to reach the park station. The trip departs at 8:00 am, returning at 4:00 pm from the Sierpe Port.
This option includes two hikes on different trails. The first hike lasts about two and a half hours, followed by a buffet lunch (featuring fruits, salad, juice, water, dessert, ham, and snacks). The second hike is shorter, around one and a half hours, leading to a waterfall in a primary forest where you’ll have time to swim. You’ll spend a total of three and a half hours at the station. On the way back, you’ll also explore the mangroves and look for wildlife.
2. Sirena Station:
This option departs at 7:00 am, and the boat ride takes between 1.5 to 2 hours, passing through the largest wetland areas in Costa Rica. Once you arrive at Sirena, you’ll explore the various trails in search of the park’s incredible wildlife and plants.
Lunch here is plated, served in a restaurant style, unlike the buffet at San Pedrillo. You’ll also enjoy an explanation of the mangrove area during the return trip, which ends around 4:30 pm with a cup of rich Costa Rican coffee.
